EOI - Locomotive Driver Trainer

About the role:
Trojan Rail are on the search for a Full Time Driver Trainer based in Bowen QLD. Where you will encourage our trainees to grow, learn, develop their skills, and reach their potential to become the next generation of qualified Train Drivers.

Trojan Rail, a division of Trojan Recruitment Group, is a specialist provider of accredited rail workforces to the Australian Rail Industry. Trojan’s affiliation with the rail industry commenced over 20 years ago, with the provision of resources in the capacity of labour hire services. Trojan Rail currently services Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
 
About you – you will possess:

• Certificate IV in Locomotive Driving (TLI42622 or equivalent)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
• Hold a current QLD Safe Working qualification
• Experienced working as a Driver Trainer in mainline heavy rail environments
• Demonstrate a positive attitude & lead by example
• Confident in facilitating classroom & practical training
• Hold a current CAT 1 Rail Medical
• Ability to provide excellent service and assistance when working with our valued customers
• Focus on safety, quality, compliance, and teamwork
• High standards of interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
• Apply best practice train management techniques competently to ensure efficient and safe train operations
• Be flexible, adapt and create a nurturing environment
• Ability to produce safety notices and toolbox talks together with reviewing processes in line with clients requirements
