Looking to land a better role, but don’t have the right skills or qualifications?
Trojan Rail partners with a third-party registered training organisation to offer training to certify people who are already working within the rail industry.
There are a number of courses to choose from, and, unlike other learning options, there are options for short courses and RPL (recognition of prior learning), allowing you to build the specific skills you need.
Rail School
Trojan Rail partners with external Registered Training Organisations, delivering training on it's behalf. This allows Trojan Rail to deliver nationally recognised training, customised training services and qualifications to our workforce and customers across the rail industry. The program is aligned to TLI42621 – Certificate IV in Train Driving.
Course Prerequisites
Must be an Australian Citizen with a current, unrestricted motor vehicle licence
Strong problem solving skills and high regard for safety
Basic level of computer proficiency and must be able to pass AQF level 4 (language, literacy and numeracy test)
Must be able to successfully provide a Category 1 Rail Medical and a musculoskeletal and cardiovascular fitness test
Workforce Training
The rail industry is entering a challenging phase. The ageing workforce combined with the high turnover of new employees, is leaving employers at risk of having both immediate and long-term skills shortages.
One way to address this issue is by upskilling your current workforce in addition to recruiting new entrants.
Trojan Rail operates as a third party to deliver structured training programs to help you fill the skills gaps. We also have several Qualified Drivers that can provide and assess rail competencies and route assessments.
